I’m Hema Priya, a doctor-turned-entrepreneur with over 50 ventures, most of them failed.
For years, I chased titles, built identities, and hid the mess behind success.
But the truth? I’m not just an e-commerce coach. I’m all of it and none of it.
This episode is for every ADHD-driven soul juggling ideas, feeling like a misfit, and craving permission to just be.
You’ll hear how I finally stopped fitting in and started embracing myself.
If you’ve ever felt “too much” or “not enough,” this message matters. Let’s stop hiding and start owning who we are.

Hey everyone, so you must be knowing I posted something 2 weeks back I guess I made a career
[0:00:09] changing, life changing career decision and though there were very few likes and very few
[0:00:17] comments under the post so many people reached out to me in DM, so many people reached out
[0:00:24] to me and what’s up asking what is the life changing decision?
[0:00:27] What is that career change? Are you quitting e-commerce? Are you quitting this? What is that?
[0:00:32] Are you quitting what? So, it is not I am quitting anything because as an ADHDer I cannot
[0:00:38] quit anything because I keep coming back to my other businesses. So, what I am going
[0:00:45] to change is I have been looking at life in a way that others teach me to look at and
[0:00:54] And now I want to look at my own life and business the way I want to look at.
[0:01:00] How I want to look at is that I am evolving every day.
[0:01:05] What might sound totally aligned with me today might not sound totally aligned with me
[0:01:11] next week.
[0:01:12] So that is how an ADHD brain works because our interests are very fleeting, our dopamine
[0:01:18] hits are our power super powers and when the dopamine hits we do a lot of things, we
[0:01:26] accomplish a lot of things and that makes us our identity.
[0:01:30] I know this is all confusing but just remember that everyone has their own way of living
[0:01:37] their life and business and for me living my life and business I was from a totally totally
[0:01:47] different profession. I was a doctor by profession and I do not have any touch with my doctor friends
[0:01:52] now because I do not feel aligned. When we all talk I felt the odd men out. So, I do not have
[0:02:00] any touch with them and I am in a totally different space. I am a blogger, entrepreneur,
[0:02:06] marketer, so many identities. These identities keep changing for me every day, every month, every
[0:02:15] year. When I started out, I was a blogger. Then I became an e-commerce entrepreneur. Then
[0:02:24] I became an SEO expert. Then I was making money, still making money through lot of passive
[0:02:30] income streams. Then I became an e-commerce coach. Then I became an e-commerce consultant.
[0:02:36] Then I had an agency to help other e-commerce business owners do the e-commerce stuff.
[0:02:43] And in between this I was an author, I have a lot of self published books in Amazon which
[0:02:48] many of you might not know.
[0:02:51] And briefly I was an artist and a lot of other things which I don’t share openly.
[0:03:01] So people you know me as an e-commerce entrepreneur, people know me as an e-commerce coach now
[0:03:08] because I have been focusing that for the last four years.
[0:03:12] I wanted myself to become known as an e-commerce coach.
[0:03:16] But when everybody knew me as an e-commerce coach, when I was quoted in lot of publications,
[0:03:25] when I had lot of interviews, when I had lot of podcasts that I am an e-commerce coach,
[0:03:32] I felt something shifting inside me.
[0:03:34] I don’t want to be just an e-commerce coach, e-commerce entrepreneur or I don’t know,
[0:03:41] I want to be myself, I want to be heimapriya, I don’t want to be labeled and inside any of
[0:03:49] this because then you must give me 50 plus labels because I am all those.
[0:03:55] I have started more than 50 businesses out of which I mean 75% of them have failed.
[0:04:02] So I guess only my husband and my kids know all of my failed businesses because I talk
[0:04:12] to them daily about it.
[0:04:14] But even my team in my little Muppet or even my parents or anyone know that I have done
[0:04:21] so many things.
[0:04:23] It’s not that I want to tell the world, boast to the world that I have done so many things.
[0:04:31] No, I have come to a stage wherein I want to embrace myself.
[0:04:36] I was actually ashamed to show this because there were a lot of failed businesses.
[0:04:41] I want to be portrayed only as a successful e-commerce entrepreneur, not as a failed entrepreneur.
[0:04:48] But you know evolving is the way of life and that told me that I should showcase my failures.
[0:05:00] And I felt that there are lots and lots of entrepreneurs like me suffering from ADHD and have
[0:05:10] this guilt shame in them which prevents them to live the life that they want.
[0:05:17] Even I was in the same thing.
[0:05:21] When the e-commerce coach, I had my clients like I had 10 clients, one to one of the clients
[0:05:29] working. I was making money that I wouldn’t even imagine making but that was not enough
[0:05:35] for me. I was not happy. I was happy when I work for them. I was happy when I get results
[0:05:43] for them. I was happy when they are happy but that there was some ceiling for that. I was
[0:05:52] bored. I was bored of doing the same things again and again. I want to branch out again
[0:05:57] And I didn’t have the wish to go back to Ecommerce coaching and do all the things.
[0:06:01] In the case of my Ecommerce businesses, what I do is I set up a system and my team runs it entirely.
[0:06:08] So, one of my coach told me, “You are living the perfect Ecommerce entrepreneurs dream.”
[0:06:13] “Yes, I am living it.”
[0:06:15] And that’s why I was able to branch out so many things.
[0:06:19] And being a personal brand in Ecommerce, I was not able to do that.
[0:06:23] Now I am in a process of creating a system that can work without me, but still with me inside it.
[0:06:30] So, the biggest revolution and biggest announcement that I am going to tell you today is,
[0:06:36] I am moving all my things under one big, my own identity, Hema Priya.
[0:06:43] So, inside Hema Priya, you will find everything that I have done so far,
[0:06:49] the experiments, the businesses I have created,
[0:06:53] you wouldn’t even imagine the businesses I have created.
[0:06:57] There were so many crazy things that I have created,
[0:07:00] so many learnings from them, which I think no coach would have given me
[0:07:08] or no course would have given me.
[0:07:10] I have learnt a lot by myself through this,
[0:07:13] experimentation through this, all this.
[0:07:16] So I’m moving everything to Himapriya, my coaching, except my e-commerce businesses which
[0:07:21] they have their own identity like my little mopet, ancient Madurai, Soundriya, they need
[0:07:26] their own identity.
[0:07:27] So they will be their own identity.
[0:07:30] All the other businesses that I have created until now I’m moving them into one big umbrella
[0:07:36] that is me.
[0:07:38] And I also want to share my experiences as an ADHD entrepreneur struggling with so many
[0:07:49] businesses.
[0:07:50] I am a multi-printer.
[0:07:51] I have so many businesses.
[0:07:52] Some days I feel very down.
[0:07:54] Why did I even start so many businesses?
[0:07:57] Why the hell do I?
[0:07:58] Because for each business I have a team and I need to pay the team.
[0:08:01] Sometimes the business would not go run as I thought it would.
[0:08:05] And that time I would feel very bad.
[0:08:06] Why did I even create?
[0:08:07] why couldn’t I stick with one business and go deep in it.
[0:08:11] So everybody will tell Jack of all trades, master of none, am I that?
[0:08:16] I have a so many guilty feelings, always whirling around me and last three months I had gone
[0:08:25] into myself, a lot into myself.
[0:08:28] I hired a business mindset coach, I hired an ADHD coach, I had so, I hired so many coaches
[0:08:35] in the last three months to find what is wrong with me.
[0:08:38] And at last none of them could give me the exact reason but they helped me move in the
[0:08:43] right direction and what I found out was there is nothing wrong with me.
[0:08:49] This is how I am built for.
[0:08:50] This is how I am.
[0:08:52] This is what I am and I should embrace myself.
[0:08:56] And embracing myself means to embrace the flaws that I have, to embrace the wrongs I have
[0:09:08] done in the past, to embrace the failures I have done in the past, to embrace all the
[0:09:13] things that I have success, failures, everything.
[0:09:16] So when I got this and I shared it in a group, in an FB group which I am very active on,
[0:09:22] So many people came out telling me this is me, this is me, oh I can see you myself, I can
[0:09:29] see you, I mean I can see myself in you.
[0:09:32] That was huge, okay I am not the one there are so many people out there.
[0:09:38] So then you know how my ADHD brain goes, I want to create a system for them.
[0:09:43] So now everything is under one umbrella, hemabria and I will be sharing in all my social media
[0:09:51] and everything about everything and anything that I am doing.
[0:09:54] It will not be limited to e-commerce,
[0:09:55] it will not be limited to passive income,
[0:09:57] it will not be limited to anything related to ADHD,
[0:10:00] it will not be limited to decor,
[0:10:02] it will not be related, limited to my own e-commerce businesses.
[0:10:07] But everything for a neurotypical person,
[0:10:12] this might be overwhelming.
[0:10:14] Yes, I know.
[0:10:15] But if you want to follow my journey,
[0:10:20] As who I am, the true hem up prayer, then follow me and embrace yourself.
[0:10:29] That’s what I wanted to tell.
[0:10:32] And I feel I might say something three months later differently, but now I’m saying I’ve
[0:10:37] found the purpose of my life.
[0:10:39] It’s to embrace myself and be truthful to me and follow what my heart tells me to do
[0:10:45] and not what the world tells me to do.
[0:10:50] Thank you.
