🎯 What I wanted to Achieve

The Problem: My old brand had dark black and dark fuchsia colors that just weren't feeling right anymore. I was craving pastels and lighter colors, but couldn't afford to hire a designer every time my ADHD brain wanted a change.

I had three main goals for this rebrand:

💰 Do it for under $50 (no expensive designer fees)
⚡ Complete it in my ADHD hyperfocus window (2 days max)
🎨 Create something that felt dreamy, whimsical, and trailblazer-ish
🧠 Build a system I could teach to other ADHD entrepreneurs

💡 Key Insight: Branding doesn't need to be a $2,000+ project every time. If you have Canva skills and understand your audience, you can rebrand strategically in a weekend.

📝 My Actual Step-Step Process

This is exactly what I did, step by step, based on what I learned from Caroline Zook's course:

1. Write Your Brand Story

Answer these 3 questions:

Why does this brand exist?
What are you going to achieve through this brand?
How do you want your audience to feel about you through this brand?

2. Define Your Audience

Answer these questions:

Who are they?
Why do you want to serve them?
What benefit will they receive?
How are you going to deliver it?

3. Identify Your Brand Values

Answer these questions:

What do you stand for?
What do you believe in?

For ADHD entrepreneurs, I believe we have a superpower we're not using - we're forced to stick to traditional methods that don't work for our brains.

4. Create Your Brand Board Statement

Who you are and what you do.

Mine: "I am Hema, an ADHD multi-preneur who helps ADHD entrepreneurs create consistent income through their existing businesses even when their attention shifts somewhere else."

5. Choose Your Tone Words

How do you want people to feel when they see your brand?

I chose: Creative,Feminine, Whimsical, Dreamy, Trailblazer

6. Pinterest Mood Board Research

This is the most important part! I went to Pinterest and searched for each tone word with variations. Like "creative design," "creative brand," "creative logo" - learned this from Carolyn Zook.

7. Create Separate Pinterest Boards

For easier use, I put all the Pinterest images into separate Canva boards - one for each tone word. Much easier to work with than jumping between Pinterest tabs!

8. Pick Your Favorites

From each Canva board, I picked the images that called out to me the most. Like, which "creative" image makes me feel most excited?

9. Create a Master Mood Board

I put all my favorite images in one final board. When I looked at everything together, I could see three colors that were very prominent: violet, pink and teal.

They were literally calling out to me!

10.Use Canva Color Picker

I used Canva's color picker tool to extract the exact violet, pink and teal shades from my mood board images.

11.Create Color Palettes

I created SO many palettes!

Started with violet as my main base color, but also loved the pink variations. Used Canva's complementary color finder to get supporting colors.

12. different Colour Palette Combinations

I went to this website and input my main colors to get different types of color palette combinations.

Found the so many interesting palettes that I absolutely loved!

13. Font Hunting (The Rabbit Hole)

Went to Creative Market and found amazing fonts, but they were all $25+.

Created screenshots and put them in a Canva board.

Didn't want to invest money because... you never know what will happen with ADHD projects!

14. ChatGPT Font Recommendations

Used a custom ChatGPT prompt to get font recommendations. Much faster than trying to understand serif vs sans serif explanations that make ADHD brains glaze over!

15. Mood board with different colour palettes

Created a mood board with the different colour palettes I loved and chose optionn 1 from it to proceed to logo creation.

16. Logo Creation Attempt on Saturday

Tried creating a logo with crown elements using the colors I'd chosen. Created a complete brand palette. Loved it on Saturday evening!

17. The Sunday Morning Reality Check

Woke up Sunday morning and... hated everything! 🤦‍♀️

Went back to font hunting, but then realized my existing font was actually perfect. Sometimes simple is better!

18. The Breakthrough

After looking at tons of fonts, I realized my existing font was actually perfect. Sometimes the answer is right in front of you!

Also loved the second colour from my colour palette and created the new brand.

🛠️ Tools I Actually Used (Not What I Planned)

📌 Pinterest: The foundation - mood board research and inspiration
🎨 Canva: Organizing mood boards, color picking, palette creation
🌈 ColorSpace: Generating complementary color palettes
🤖 ChatGPT: Custom prompt for font recommendations (saved hours!)
💰 Creative Market: Font inspiration (looked but didn't buy)
